Introduction to Juriscom.net
First opened in 1998, Juriscom.net is dedicated to those interested in Law, Technology and Communication, either they be students with on going researches, established professionals or even simple usual internauts. All are invited to participate. The creator and owner of this site is Lionel Thoumyre, a student at University of Montreal doing a Masters in Law and Technology. He has been a collaborator for the Cabinet HAAS, the "Lettre de l'Internet Juridique", and the magazines "Point Net" and "Netsurf"... Juriscom.net is set out to distribute, share and analyse legal information related to regulation of the new communication tools, first and mainly the Internet. This is the objective of Juriscom.net : to communicate our knowledge on the Laws and regulations governing these new medias. IMPORTANT : the page does not represent official legal counsel or advice. Every reader is strongly invited to double check any information contained on theses pages and to directly request the services of an attorney to resolve any legal dispute or problem. Evolution of Juriscom.net This page was created in association with Biozone.org which object is to promote a center of competence relating to new technologies of information and communication and also, all cultural activities related to the use of the new technologies. This means two things: - in an associative spirit (without commercial interest - reunions around common interests), each of us is called to participate to the evolution of this site (without any subscription obligations): you can send us your articles, mémoires, theses, accounts or analysis as well as all the documents of judgments related to the regulation of the new technologies of communication - if possible in HTLM form. The future writers are invited to check the note addressed to their attention; - this site as the endeavour of becoming a privileged meeting place for jurists, Internet professionals and the entire internaut community in an aim to better understand the application of regulations to the Internet and exchange thoughts.
